There is life after death

It’s a subject we don't want to think of very often. Dead is something that frightens many people. Yet it is one of the few certainties we have in life, that at one day we have to die. As sure as your life is, just as sure you will die. Nobody know when, only God does, but the fact remains that your life will end and that you will enter eternity. That must be a very scary awareness when you're not sure where you will end up. The only two options everyone has are heaven or hell. It’s not the most pleasant thing to think of, but it’s better to do it now, while you still are able to change your destiny.

Hell was created by God. When He created hell, He never created it for mankind. From the beginning of it’s existence, until the present day, hell was never meant for mankind. Hell was created for satan, for the fallen angels who joined him and for all the demons. There will be a day that all these spiritual creatures will be judged by Jesus Christ and will end up in hell for eternity.

The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Revelation 20:10

When there are two armies, you can only join one, you can’t be a part of both armies, who are each others enemies. It’s the same with God or satan. There is nothing in between. You serve God or you serve satan. Even when you don’t make a choice at all, that’s already a decision. This is what Jesus Christ said about it:

He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.

Matthew 12:30

There are two enormous spiritual armies. The army God and the army of satan. The battle is not a battle of flesh and blood, it’s a battle we can only fight in a spiritual way. The aim of both armies is the same: souls. The aim of God is to get as many souls as possible into heaven. That’s why He sent His Son Jesus Christ, to make it possible for everyone to choose His side and to join His army. The aim of satan is to get as many souls as possible into hell with him. Somewhere in between both armies are a lot of people who need to make a choice for one of both. Like Jesus said, if you don’t make a choice for Him, you choose against Him and automatically choose the side of the enemy. Satan will be your lord until you choose to change that by accepting Jesus Christ into your life and as your Lord and Savior.

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other.”

Matthew 6:24

Those who belong to the army of the enemy will share the same destiny: hell. Now that isn’t exactly what makes God happy. His deepest desire is to save all from that destiny. But He is also the Judge of the universe. It is the task of Jesus Christ to judge all of mankind with a just judgment. The verdict will always be heaven or hell.

There are many testimonies of people who went to hell and got the opportunity to go back to their lives. Those are testimonies of people all over the world and what they saw and experienced all matched with what the others saw and experienced. In all cases the message God gave them was exactly the same: warn mankind for this destiny. Why? Because it is not His will that you will end up in hell. He loves you so much that He wants you with Him in heaven. But that is only possible when you make the right choices. When, in the natural world, a judge has to judge his own son or daughter, he can’t use a different judgment then he does with others. If he would do that, then he would be unfaithful and corrupt. It’s the same with God. He has to judge and although He loves everyone very much, His judgment must be just at all times. He is God and in Him there is no evil. God is not unfaithful or corrupt.

There are also many testimonies of people who went to heaven and were sent back to their lives. In theses cases I’m also talking about people from all over the world. What they saw and experienced also matched with what all the others saw and experienced. The descriptions are identical. They witnessed it all. Some were even pronounced dead already by doctors, and came back to live after they went to heaven.

The people who went to hell or heaven are not just a few or some isolated cases. But there were also people who already could see a glimpse of heaven or hell while they were dying, witnessing what they saw to the ones who were with them. There’s one testimony that made a huge impression on me, about a little girl dying of cancer. This happened in a hospital in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. First let me say that I also do not always understand why things are happening. I don’t understand why a child has to die of cancer, but I also do not believe that that is the will of God. But that’s a different subject. The little girl was in the hospital, when they told the parents that her life would soon be over. She was very cold and couldn’t get warm. The nurses brought her several blankets, but it didn’t made her warm. Then suddenly (with several people in the room who witnessed it), she took all the blankets of off her. She was sweating all over. She stood up at her bed and looked up, as if she was seeing something. Then she raised her hands above her head, while smiling, and said “Yes daddy Jesus, I’m coming”. Then she died. This testimony was told to me by someone who was in that room when that happened.

Life and death are both very real, so are heaven and hell. Where we spent eternity is up to us, to the decisions we make in life. We can choose our destiny. You can choose to serve God or to serve satan.
