From the time that he was a child, Patrick went to the Evangelical Church of
JMWZ (Johan Maasback Wereld Zending). At Sunday school he learned about Jesus
Christ, participated in theatrical performances, went to children’s camps and
went to Church until the age of 14. At one moment there came a deep
understanding, in his puberty, that he wanted to leave the Church to lead his
own life.
At school he was always the most silent child of the class, and always stumbled
with his words, because he was shy and because of the fear of men that followed
him for years. At one moment in 1999 his grades at school were dropping
dramatically. In that season he searched for acceptance in all sorts of things
in the world, until his inferiority complex converted into a depression. The day
that he saw his grades, with the (bold) word “REJECTED” on it, he walked into a
park and felt as if everyone had turned against him.
The only think he could think of at that moment was to commit suicide. All sorts
of evil voices started to talk to him and tears were streaming down his face.
The questions that he asked himself were “Who am I?”, What is the aim of my
life?” and “Where are You God?”. After a time of shouting out of desperation,
Patrick had flashbacks from his childhood in the Church and songs came in his
memory. Then it happened that God spoke to him and confirmed him as His son. He
poured out His love in him and that peace broke through all the desperation and
spiritual battle. From that moment there were so many things changing in his
life and God promised him a beautiful future ahead of him and in His service.
A interest rose up in him towards the books of Benny Hinn and other spiritual
people of God, and there also rose a deep desire in him to a revival of the Holy
Spirit in all of his life. Not long after that he was baptized in the Holy
Spirit en met his spiritual mentor and personal intercessors, Charles Lerrick,
and he server the Lord in 2001 in the Living Word Church of pastor Willem Duyn.
There he learned how to deal with several sorts of people and he grew in all
sorts of facets of the Church and in the word of God. He was very active in
evangelism in Harlem (Netherlands), started to preach and became a trusted
person in the community.
God laid it on his heart to do Bible school in 2002/2003 and 2005/2006. He
graduated at the School for Harvest and Ministry in Zwijndrecht, at Nehemia
Ministries. Pastor Bert de Haan and Bible school director Dick Pieterman gave
him acknowledgment to return to his own town and to establish the Kingdom and to
grow further in spiritual maturity in ministry. In the year 2007 he did the
School of the Elijah Institute and received a apostolic and prophetic garment in
his ministry, through Dr. Morris Cerullo. From that moment on there were many
doors opening to step out in the supernatural world. In Indonesia he saw how God
did many mighty signs and miracles. Soon he learned to know young men and women
of God personally, something he prayed for for a long time.
At a certain cross point of his life, God connected him with an apostle Lany
Gomes, plus family, and they started to work together in a powerful community of
believers where the fire of the Holy Spirit started to increase. He served as a
deacon and worship leader from 2008 until 2010 and learned to recognize his
calling. It all went very fast in those years, until God started to give him
dreams and visions where he told him to join the ministry of his family. Not
long after that the Lord anointed and appointed him as a social pastor of the
New Life Church in Amsterdam. He now also speaks at other places, in Churches,
houses and nations where the Spirit of God is sending him. A deep desire of his
heart are the verses of Colossians 1:25-28. Making Christ, the hope of Glory,
known to the world. There is a deep spiritual desire in him to see the fivefold
ministry in it’s total and fullness, and to restore the unity in the body of
Christ. He wants to see the message of His overwhelming love, His grace and the
work of Calvary and resurrection, move in everything he does.
